MANAGER SUPPORT FOR WORKPLACE CHALLENGES

Confidential, practical support for managers and business owners navigating people, communication and workplace challenges.

Support For Your Greatest Asset - Your People.

Running a business and leading a team can be both rewarding and emotionally exhausting.

Many small business owners and managers find themselves supporting staff through workplace stress, burnout, personal struggles, conflict, mental health concerns, and difficult conversations — often without much guidance or support themselves.

If you're a South Australian business owner, team leader, or executive needing confidential support for the people pressure that comes with leadership, Chat it Out can help.

Workplace Conversations

Managing people takes more than technical skill — it requires confident communication, emotional awareness, patience, and the ability to navigate difficult situations professionally.

Many managers find themselves balancing team dynamics, staff wellbeing concerns, performance conversations, workplace stress, and emotionally challenging situations while still trying to lead effectively and keep the workplace functioning.

Cheryl from Chat It Out offers practical, down-to-earth support to help managers navigate difficult conversations, workplace pressures, and the emotional side of leadership with greater clarity and confidence

Many Managers find themselves asking:

  • How do I support staff without becoming emotionally overwhelmed myself?

  • What do I say when personal issues start affecting work?

  • How do I handle difficult conversations professionally?

  • What do I do when delegation or direction isn’t working?

  • How do I support staff with personal or mental health challenges?

  • How do I reduce workplace tension and improve team communication?

  • How do I lead confidently when I feel emotionally exhausted?

Why Businesses Work With Cheryl

Cheryl is a Registered Counsellor and Workplace Wellbeing Consultant based in Largs North, South Australia.

Her experience extends beyond counselling. Before establishing Chat It Out Counselling and Wellness, Cheryl spent more than 20 years working across leadership, HR and people-focused roles in small business, corporate, not-for-profit, real estate, construction and FIFO environments.

She continues to work part-time in the housing sector and manages a youth mentoring program in SA, keeping her connected to the realities of workplaces, teams, leadership and the challenges people navigate every day.

This combination of counselling and ongoing workplace experience means Cheryl understands that people don't leave their personal lives at the door when they come to work. Employees may be dealing with stress, relationships, caring responsibilities, grief or other personal challenges, while managers and business owners may be navigating difficult conversations, staff concerns or changes within their team.

Sometimes, having an independent and experienced sounding board can make all the difference.

Cheryl provides a safe, confidential space to talk things through, gain another perspective and explore practical ways forward that work best for the individual, manager or business.
