REIKI
Have you ever felt a room's tension, or instinctively placed a hand on a sore spot for comfort? These moments show our natural connection to unseen energy. Just like Wi-Fi connects your devices and enables them to work, a vital "life force energy" flows through you, keeping you healthy, vibrant, and feeling good. Different cultures call it 'chi' or 'prana' – in Reiki, it's 'ki'.
When life throws a lot at you – stress, illness, busy schedules – this natural energy flow can get blocked or out of balance. Think of it like a kink in a garden hose. When your energy isn't flowing freely, you might feel tired, foggy, stressed, or even experience physical discomfort.
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or sometimes hands-off) practice where a practitioner acts as a channel for this universal life force energy. It's like gently smoothing out that kink in the hose, helping your body's own natural healing abilities kick in.
What you'll experience: The energy helps clear stagnation, allowing your body to release tension and restore balance. Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, clearer, and more at peace after a session. It's a holistic approach that supports your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Understanding the Process:
A Reiki Practitioner isn't a healer in the traditional sense, but rather a conduit, facilitating the flow of energy to align with your intention for well-being. It's a two-way process—a partnership that's vital for success. While the practitioner offers healing with intention, your openness to receiving it can greatly enhance the effectiveness of the session.
In a session, Cheryl typically focuses on the body's seven main energy centers (chakras), but may also work on other energy points or areas of the body, guided intuitively. To learn more about these chakras, please refer to our Reiki blog.
Here are some of the benefits Cheryl’s clients have reported experiencing:
